This is the site of the famous honky tonk in Lorton. All that’s left is a sign with ‘H H’ on it.

We most likely know each other.

      1. I went there all the time in the late 80s..I played pool all the time…loved that place and ft Belvoir grill

    1. I worked with Sherrie in the late 80’s at Sheehy Ford in Springfield. I didn’t realize her connection to HH until years later.

  2. I was stationed at Quantico from Sept 83 to Feb 87.
I’d often drive by HH and heard of rumors that Dan Akroyd owned it, but the truth was his wife’s (Donna Dixon) father owned it.

  3. I Played There in the eighty’s with a band called the Nashville Bandits . I thought a lot of Earl Dixon he always treated us well . We played there often sometimes along with another artist that was a Jerry Lee impersonator . I remember having crawfish and crab boils in the parking lot, the band stayed in an apartment room above the bar. Man those were the days my friend.

  4. Earl Dixon was stationed at Ft Belvoir and ran the enlisted man’s club on base. He left the army and opened Dixon’s across from the base entrance at the corner of Backlick and Rt 1. In the early 70’s he sold Dixon’s to a Korean namedThomas Cho and moved down Rt I to the location of Hillbilly Heaven. The Roadducks were the only rock band to ever play there. Earl loved the Ducks and treated us like gold. Fabulous down home country bar with an incredible juke box. Hank and Patsy. Earl was a wonderful man, funny and kind but could throw down if things went south, which they frequently did. I’ll post some pictures of the Ducks, Earl, and HH. Jay

  5. My Uncle Shorty ran Earls Carlos in Stafford and spent many weekends at this club. Known back then as Bill,Loveless

  6. I used to play in a country band that played there in the mid 80’s. Earl Dixon was quite a character.
